Satpol PP Gianyar Closes PARQ Ubud for Violating Regional Regulations

GIANYAR – The Gianyar Regency Government officially closed down PARQ Ubud, an accommodation business, on Monday (January 20). The closure was enacted due to several violations of Gianyar Regency Regional Regulations.

The suspension of business activities and closure of PARQ Ubud, located at Jalan Sriwedari No. 24, Banjar Tegalantang, was based on Gianyar Regent’s Decree No. 285/E-09/HK/2025. The decree mandates the owner and/or person in charge of the business to cease operations.

To enforce the decree, Gianyar Regent issued a letter of instruction, No. 300/0189/POLDAM, addressed to I Made Watha, the Head of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), Fire Brigade, and Rescue Service of Gianyar Regency. The letter instructed the unit to oversee and secure the implementation of the regent’s decision to halt operations and shut down PARQ Ubud.

The closure was carried out because PARQ Ubud’s activities were deemed to violate Article 19, Paragraph 3, of Gianyar Regency Regulation No. 15 of 2015 concerning Public Order and Community Tranquility, as well as Regulation No. 2 of 2022 on Risk-Based Licensing Implementation.

I Ketut Pasek Lanang Sadia, Assistant for General Administration of the Gianyar Regency Regional Secretariat, emphasized that the closure was executed in compliance with the law, particularly the regional regulations of Gianyar.

“The closure was conducted in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations of Gianyar Regency and has gone through several stages,” he stated.

This move underscores the commitment of Gianyar Regency authorities to uphold public order and ensure compliance with local regulations.
