Foreign National Found Dead in Water Tank in Bali’s Jimbaran


A foreign national found dead in a water tank at a lodging house on Jalan By Pass Ngurah Rai, Jimbaran, Badung, Bali, has raised concerns. The unidentified man’s body was discovered on Tuesday (March 4) at around 2:30 PM WITA, prompting authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.

Coordinator of the Bali Search and Rescue (Basarnas) team, Bayu Arya Wiraga, stated that based on physical characteristics, the victim is suspected to be a foreigner.

“It is estimated that the body belongs to a foreign national,” Wiraga said in an official statement on Tuesday (March 4).

The discovery was reported by the lodging house owner, identified by the initials NP, who was checking the water tank due to maintenance issues. The victim was found naked inside the empty water tank.

“The body was found unclothed, and the water tank was completely dry,” Wiraga added.

Authorities Investigate Cause of Death

Following the discovery, the victim’s remains were evacuated to Prof. IGNG Ngoerah General Hospital for further examination. Authorities have yet to confirm the cause of death or reveal any additional details regarding the victim’s identity.

“The cause of death is still under investigation. The body has been transferred to Prof. Ngoerah Hospital for further handling,” Wiraga said.

The police have not released an official statement regarding the case, but investigations are ongoing.
